![]() As a Rogue most of your damage won't come from weapon damage or crits though, it'll come from Sneak Attack (especially since you're taking Vicious Claws to make those d8s, right?), so it's not really something to worry about. The d20PFSRD entry was filling blanks that ought not have been filled.ĭo you have any idea what the crit range/mod for a catfolk's claws when taking Cat's Claws is?Ģ0/x2, unless you have something that specifically says it changes it from that, because that's the default for critical hits. don't change in any way from what would be "normal" for the Catfolk wearing them. That means that damage, critical range/multiplier, feat/class ability interactions, etc. Note that the Advanced Race Guide lists no damage for Claw Blades, and the item's table entry isn't as a weapon (as compared the ARG's Kobold Equipment rules, which has a weapons table for their Tail Attachments), so it's not a "real" weapon - it can be enhanced like one, but otherwise all it does is change a Catfolk's claw attack from a natural weapon to a masterwork light slashing weapon. The listed cost of the item is for one set of five claws for one hand. The claw blades can be enhanced like a masterwork weapon for the normal costs. Catfolk with the cat's claws racial trait are proficient with this weapon. The blades grant the wearer a +1 enhancement bonus on claw attack rolls with that hand and change the weapon type from a natural weapon to a light slashing weapon. ![]() Bought in a set of five, they fit over the wearer's claws on one hand. Don't want post removed because of a passing remark.Ĭlaw Blades: These subtle blades can only be used by catfolk with the cat's claws racial trait. Is that really what these are supposed to have? A crit turns someone's flesh to ribbons!Īt any rate, let me know your thoughts! And also, if you have any suggestions on things to use for this type of build, I'd love to hear them.ĮDIT: Removed mention of LFG. Another issue is that just x2 crit on nat 20 seems. The latter makes more sense to me, personally, and I can't see 1d6 or 1d8 being too broken as opposed to 1d4. I get that they're almost a slotless Amulet of Mighty Fists that turn natural into light slashing, but I can't get a clear answer on other things like whether they're actually 1d4, as the wiki suggests, or if they use your claw damage. Being able to pounce is insane when combined with TWF and Rend, but the Claw Blades you have to use to TWF with your claws just seem. I want the character to be strong, which is why some elements of the claw route are incredibly appealing. The only issue is I'm not sure what weapons I should go for. Honestly, it's been a blast to build out. I've been building a Catfolk Unchained Rogue (Shadow Walker Archetype)/Shadowdancer that's going to be, essentially, a mobile cloud of shadow that just pounces from one poor sap to the next, TWFing and rending it up. /r/3d6 - For character creation, advice and sharing (system agnostic)./r/Battlemaps - For your VTT battlemap requirements./r/Tabletop - For your general tabletop gaming shenanigans./r/lfg - Looking For Group, find other players, etc./r/RPG - For general, non-Pathfinder related RPG discussion./r/Starfinder_rpg - For dedicated discussion of Paizo's Science Fantasy system and setting./r/Pathfinder_Kingmaker - To discuss the Owlcat-made computer RPGs./r/Pathfinder2e - For dedicated Second Edition discussion./r/Pathfinder - For Pathfinder Society Organization/Discussion.Other subreddits you might be interested in: Fillable character sheets and intelligent character builders. Some of these tools and resources include the following: We have a Wiki page that includes links for various useful tools and resources, most of which have been provided by the members of this community.
